Dine in at The Pizza Place

The Pizza Place serves the most creative pizzas in all of Bartlesville. Besides the conventional toppings like pepperoni and mozzarella, they offer more obscure options like artichoke hearts, feta cheese, roasted red peppers, and gyro meat. Every Friday, Jude’s Health and Java Shop serves fresh sushi made right here in Bartlesville. For those of you who are wary of “Oklahoma sushi,” be assured that this is better than your average sushi-fare. Wassabi and ginger root complete the experience.

Visit the Price Tower

Bartlesville boasts the only skyscraper designed by the great American architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. Inside the tower is an art gallery, shopping, The Inn at Price Tower and The Copper Restaurant. The gallery often features special exhibits by great American artists. The tower’s design is reason enough to tour this historical landmark.

Go Shopping at the Bargain Box

This consignment shop is located on the corner of 8th and Johnstone, downtown, just south of Adams. Bargain Box sells quality clothing and home furnishings at a fraction of the price of retail and, occasionally, a fraction of the price of Goodwill. Employees are volunteers, and all proceeds go to the Youth Canteen. This is a great opportunity for poor college kids to become fashionable benefactors.

Aroma’s serves authentic Italian cuisine and drinks. Often, live jazz or piano accompanies the meal. Espresso drinks and desserts are a great way to top a meal. Those who enjoy fresh air can take advantage of the outdoor patio.

Drive to The Red Dirt Soap Company and Keepsake Candles

These specialty shops are located only two miles west of town, but their remote surroundings make visitors feel like they’ve taken a long trip to a small country village. In true country fashion, the soaps and candles you’ll find in theses shops are all handmade. Red Dirt Soap Company offers smooth, refreshing herbal soaps like White Lilacs and Oatmeal Honey, and Keepsake Candles offers their own unique fragrances like Hot Chocolate and Crème Brule.
