The OkWUstudents staff has successfully cornered the following new members of our faculty and staff. (We will work diligently to track down the remainder of them in the days ahead.)

Why OWU?: "I have a great deal of confidence in this school's administration. I was especially concerned about what the school said it was and what it actually stood for. I truly believe that this school's statement, 'A University Where Jesus is Lord,' is the heartbeat of the administration. I also liked the size of the environment at OWU because Christian mentoring and the integrity of faith is not lost in the size of the school."

Ms. Kelly Dongell

Saw Shane West on Hollywood Blvd.
Why OWU? "The most drawing factor of this school is that the faculty and staff are very visionary. They know their goals, and they pursue them with genuine and humble hearts.

Why OWU? "I was asked about two weeks before classes started to assist with teaching in the Music Program. In spite of 18 years of absence from the classroom I was happy to come back to OWU and help."

Dr. Shawn Macauley

Assistant Professor of Biology
Department: Science
Past experience: B.S.A. and M.S. in Microbiology and Cell Science, University of Florida; Ph.D. in Medical Science, University of Florida College of Medicine
Random Fact: Dr. Macauley has a sister 23 years younger than he is. She is a sophomore at the University of Vermont
Why OWU? "God made it very clear to me and my family that this is the place that he had prepared for us."

Dr. Laura McCollum

Why OWU? "My husband and I chose to come and work at OWU as a result of God's direct calling. We have prayed for and committed ourselves to the goal of both working at a distinctly Christian university. We believe that OWU strives to attain academic excellence under the authority and guidance of Jesus Christ -- this is a mission and vision that we are excited to support. "
