OWU featured on Internet wsRadio.com

After a visit to the OWU campus, wsRadio.com host Caz Taylor decided to feature the university for an entire program which aired on November 11 and can be heard on the internet at the wsRadio.com website. OWU President, Dr. Everett Piper joined show hosts Bill and Caz “to introduce a remarkable campus and its Biblical mission" to the station’s listeners. Additional segments of the show feature Dr. Bob Myers, V.P for Academic Affairs, Eddy Shigley, V.P. for Student Development and Regina VanDyke, parent of an OWU student.

wsRadio.com started broadcasting from its California studio on August 15, 2001 with 5 shows. The WS of wsRadio stands for World Syndicated Radio. The brand has grown to over 80 shows adding additional shows each month. The station claims the title as the largest independent Internet talk radio station in the world.

wsRadio.com partners include eBay producing eBay Radio, an entire network for Entrepreneur Magazine, HayHouse Publications and their world renowned authors, along with many other high profile organizations like the American Marketing Association, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and individuals for business, health, hobby, and special interest shows.

wsRadio.com has over 45 remote studios world wide. Locations include Australia, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, and England. These remote studios utilize ISDN state of the art technology to connect to the main San Diego studio. Broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, "the Sun never sets on wsRadio.com". Some of the stations high profile shows are also syndicated on traditional radio via Satellite as well.

wsRadio.com listeners can listen via their computer while working on other tasks or accessing web sites that are referred to during the shows. The station's high profile shows offer mp3 downloads and podcasting as well. wsRadio.com also broadcasts on The Mobile Broadcast Network (MBN) with their 2 million subscribers. Wireless technology has allowed listeners the flexibility to access their favorite programs from boats to beaches along with their favorite Starbucks hotspot.
